The CCMS Library Mission Statement

The mission of Calvary Chapel Schools Library is to support the school curriculum, being a source of information and learning while upholding Christ and affirming our Biblical beliefs. As part of that mission, the library will provide access to current and appropriate information sources, while striving to ensure that all students, teachers, and staff are effective users of ideas and information, and develop a life-long love of reading and learning.

Welcome to the CCMS Library Resources

On our campus, the Library is located in the High School building above the Gym and serves both CCMS and CCHS. During the first few weeks of school, the 7th grade students receive a Library orientation in their Study Skills class. Both 7th and 8th Grade English classes visit the Library during the year for book talks, MLA instruction, and instruction on research skills. Students may also visit the Library during break, lunch, or afterschool to study, access resources, or use the computers for school related assignments.

The CCMS / CCHS Library currently contains approximately 14,000 items for student, teacher, and faculty use.  These items include books, magazines, videos, DVDs, CDs, audio books, maps, language lab, and many more teacher resources.  In addition to these materials, the library has 29 computers available for student use.  These computers may only be used for school related assignments including word processing with Microsoft Word and creating class presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint. (See Library Policies for more information about library computers).
