CCMS Awards
We desire that each CCMS student “Begin with the End in Mind”. This means, we want our students to begin each task, each day, or each year “with a clear vision of their desired destination, and then continue in that direction by flexing their proactive muscles to make things happen” (Covey). Look through the list of possible awards and decide which awards you will want to achieve, then make a plan that includes steps along the way to reach that award, and then finally, at the end of the year, we believe you will reap the joy of achieving your goal and receive your award(s) at the Awards or Promotion ceremony.
Academic Awards
- Honor Roll - Students who earn an academic GPA of 3.50 or above for the first four terms are recognized for their achievement as Honor Roll recipients each fall.
- Top Student - The top academic GPA student in each class is recognized for their achievement at the end of the year Awards Chapel
- Principal’s Award - Students who earn an academic GPA of 3.50 to 3.75 all four semesters make the Principal’s List and are recognized for their achievements at the 8th-grade Promotion with a Principal’s Award certificate
- Superintendent's Award- Students who earn an academic GPA of 3.70 to 4.0 all four semesters make the Superintendent’s List and are recognized for their achievements at the 8th-grade Promotion with a Superintendent Award certificate
Community Service
- 50 Hours Plus - Students who serve 50 hours or more in Community Service are recognized for their achievement at the end of the year Awards Chapel
- Most Hours - Students who serve the most hours in Community Service are recognized for their achievement at the end of the year Awards Chapel
Sports Awards
- 50 Mile milestone - Seventh (6th and 7th) grade students who run 50 miles or more in PE are recognized for their achievement at the end of the year Awards Chapel
- 100 Mile challenge - Eighth (8th) grade students who run 100 miles or more in PE are recognized for their achievement at the end of the year Awards Chapel
- Golden Eagle Award - The Golden Eagle award is a special award given at the end of each season to the top athlete of each team that exemplifies the Christ-Like principles of Character, Integrity, Excellence and Teamwork both on and off the field of play.
