Principal's Message

Welcome, to the right place to find out all things pertaining to Calvary Chapel Junior High School. We love our school and we know you will too. Here, on our website, you will find relevant and helpful information about our school, the current events and happenings, and a short biography along with contact information about our exceptional staff. If you have any further questions after reading through our website, please do not hesitate to contact the CCJHS front office at (714) 556-0965 or email me personally at

As a school, our vision is to “Build Tomorrow’s Christian Leaders Today” by using tested and rigorous curriculum that is taught by qualified, knowledgeable, and compassionate teachers. It is our goal to make sure that every student is ready for high school and beyond. The staff at  Calvary Chapel Junior High School  is committed to developing growth in each student mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We seek to develop leaders who collaborate and contribute within their community without compromise by God’s grace and for His glory.

Lastly,  while I am not new to Calvary Chapel Schools I will be the new Calvary Chapel Junior High School principal this year. My family and I came to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in 1991. I joined the CCCM staff in 1992, and my teaching tenure at CCJHS spans from 1995 to 2018, with a brief teaching stint  at another Christian school. My teaching experience includes grades fourth, fifth, sixth, and single subjects in earth science, Bible and speech and debate. In addition, I served as the assistant junior high pastor from 1999 to 2013 overseeing youth camp operations, mission trips, and youth group activities. My education includes a BA from Pacific Christian College, a preliminary credential from Vanguard University and a MA in education from Hope International University. My wife and I have four wonderful children, two of whom are married, and one super, awesome granddaughter who is an enrolled student in our pre-school here at Calvary Chapel Schools.

Let me close by saying, I am committed, by the grace of God and with the support of the most incredible staff, to serving you and your child wholeheartedly. Let us be in prayer for a wonderful year where God is glorified, and our students are prepared for high school and beyond

Mr. Mark Allen
