Principal's Message

Welcome, and thank you for showing interest in our school!

I am excited to share with you a little about who we are at Calvary Chapel Junior High School. We are a Christ-centered school you can trust to educate and prepare your child for the 21st century using a relevant and rigorous curriculum. We have an amazing and qualified staff that loves what they do and the students and families they serve. CCJHS is fully accredited with WASC and ACTS, and our experienced staff has an average tenure at Calvary Chapel Schools of 12.6 years.

Our vision is to “Build Tomorrow’s Christian Leaders Today” by engaging, equipping, and empowering students to be ready and prepared for the future. We desire to develop students that love people, are open to growth, willing to collaborate, able to take on leadership, are prepared for the future, and are ready to make a contribution within their community without compromise by God’s grace and for His glory.

What sets us apart from other junior high schools is we are a Christ-centered school that collaborates well with our church, Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, and the Calvary Chapel Schools on our campus. Our curriculum is vertically aligned from preschool to elementary school through junior high and into high school. Our curriculum builds from grade level to grade level which helps to create a great educational foundation for each student as they prepare for their future.

We have a clear Vision, Mission, and Values throughout our schools that shapes and drives a healthy school culture. We have engaging chapels, exciting activities such as pep rallies, and many different types of on-campus clubs that help equip students for leadership roles. We have an extensive number of electives such as computers, study skills, robotics, art, yearbook, campus service, wrestling, Spanish, creative writing, and speech communication. Additionally, we provide an after school program for working parents.
